One of the most popular lever-actions of all time, the 1892 was designed by John M. Browning. The 1892 Rifle was mechanically stronger and less costly to produce than the 1873. A total of 1,004,675 of the 1892s, in both solid and take-down models, were manufactured from 1892 to 1941. This smaller version of his Model 1886 used the popular short cartridges of the 1873 but had a simplified ramp elevator. Taylor’s & Co. is proud to offer reproductions of these favorites. The 1892 rifle features a case-hardened frame and blue barrel finish. Not only does this 1892 handle modern ammunition great for hunting purposes, it is a lighter weight rifle with a smaller receiver size than the popular 1866 and 1873 rifles.
