The Model 1886 was the lever-action that gave heavy-caliber performance in a rifle that works like no other. Solid, reliable and balanced, this version is a gun-of-a-lifetime. It is superbly crafted in every way. The 45-90 caliber is truly classic. The Model 1886 Short Rifle features a deeply-blued receiver, barrel and lever, along with a matching blued steel end cap and steel crescent buttplate. The classic straight grip, or pistol grip, Grade I walnut stock allows quick shouldering, and has an elegant satin finish. The receiver is drilled and tapped for the addition of an optional receiver sight. Like the other historical rifle models, production is limited.
