CZ's new-generation striker-fired 9x19 runs on a serialized internal chassis, which leaves the fiberglass-reinforced polymer grip frame as a modular part. The slide mounts a red dot directly, fixed sights stay on, and the 4-inch barrel is unthreaded. The refined SFDA trigger breaks at 25±4 N (5.6±0.9 lbs) with 9±1 mm travel and a 4 mm reset.

CZ built the DUTY around a registered chassis that the polymer grip module wraps around, the same idea that lets a shooter change frame size without buying a new registered gun. The trigger is a refined SFDA striker unit, 25 ± 4 N (5.6 ± 0.9 lbs) pull, 4 mm (0.16 in) reset, 9 ± 1 mm (0.4 ± 0.04 in) travel. The slide takes optics by direct mounting; CZ's product photos show Holosun, Aimpoint and Shield units in place. Sights are fixed, the four-inch barrel is not threaded.

Capacity on the full-frame is 17+1 standard and 19+1 with the extended base plate. Height 143 mm (5.6 in), empty weight 780 g (27.7 oz). It is the duty-belt, range and home-defense version of the line, and the one most shooters find easiest to shoot well.

The standard model skips the manual thumb safety and keeps the three passive ones: firing pin block, trigger safety and trigger-bar safety. Same chassis, same trigger and slide as the MS; only the lever is missing.
